The WCF

The World Cat Federation e.V.


For short WCF,  is a global operating federation of cat clubs.

The WCF is registered as an international federation at the registration court in Germany.
The current president is Anneliese Hackmann in Essen.

Currently 280 associations worldwide are affiliated with the WCF.

The WCF has already successfully participated in legislative procedures, among others at the European Parliament in Strasbourg for the development of animal welfare laws, and has joint responsibility for the development of animal welfare legislation within the framework of working groups and parliamentary hearings.

In general, the WCF serves to enable the affiliated cat clubs to make international contacts.

Our WCF members – regardless of whether they are single clubs or federations – are independent in their activities.

Standardization of the various cat breeds
Implementation of show rules and show classes

WCF judges


International judges with a WCF judge’s permission are educated according to international guidelines.
The WCF has exams only for an entire hair category.

WCF judges must always adhere to certain rules and may act as judge only in those hair categories certified on his ID card.

The inviting club is responsible to check the confirmed hair categories on the ID card.
