INFORMATION - SEMINARS

Cost-free seminars

Free club-internal seminars do not have to be requested.
These seminars can also be carried out by external persons, for example Veterinarians or sponsors.
The WCF logo may NOT be used.
Only certificates of participation may be issued by the organizing club, no steward- or student judge certificates.
The WCF does not accept any liability for these seminar content.

WCF-Seminars with charge

Certificates must include number of the concession, WFC membership number and WCF Logo

1.  "Breeder of Excellence"

Request up to 3 months prior to the seminar: Fee 100 Euro for each part of the seminar.
Request less than 3 months before the seminar (but no later than 4 weeks in advance): Fee 130 Euro for each part of the seminar.

The official WCF Seminars Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 for the certification “Breeder of Excellence” can be claimed by any WCF club. It can be requested at wcf.seminars@gmx.de. You can find the application in our download area. The leading judges receive in advance the topics to be covered in the seminar parts. The drafting of the seminar part is up to the judges. An allowance for the judges / experts to be agreed by the performing WCF club separately. Participation fees that the club charges are freely negotiated by the association.
At least one WCF judge with the quality mark “judge of trust” must be invited to each of the seminar parts.
The “judges of trust” are marked in the list of judges with a diamond.

Part 1, min. 9 hours:

k. Color genetics Part 1, color names, Introduction to theEMS code (WCF)
l. Responsible behavior as a breeder in the WCF “Code of Ethics”, Breeding Rules

Part 2, min. 8 hours

a. Heredity
b. Color genetics Part 2, practising the EMS code (WCF)
c. Inbreeding, outcrossing, breeding techniques
d. Selection of breeding stock
e. Pregnancy, gestation, nutrition of pregnant
f. Birth of the kittens, preparation
g. Problems before, during and after birth to detect and eliminate
h. Development of kittens, special needs at different life stages
i. The hologram sticker project
j. The European law for the protection of animals, the influence it has on the breeding of pedigree cats in the WCF

Part 3, min. 8 hours

a. Breed standards of the WCF
b. How is a standard developed?
c. How is the standard to be defined? Practical work on the example of some cats.
d. New breeds in the WCF, breeds in the recognition process.
e. Show rules
f. Traditional judging, Ring judgement
g. Rules for breeders, judges and student judges, stewards
h. The New Education System of the WCF
i. The behavior of breeders, judges, student-judges and stewards inside and outside exhibitions.
j. Loyalty – what is it?
k. Positions and personnel in the WCF. The current situation of the WCF
l. Ideas for the future of the WCF

In each of the seminar part for participating student judge candidates a pre-test is offered for to be held under the rules of the WCF.
In addition participating student-judges and student-judge-1candidates (stewards) can apply for a short language test which will be taken by one of the judges holding the seminar.
A language certificate will be issued. Student judges will receive 2 certificates per seminar part.
Stewards will receive 2 certificates per seminar part.

2.   Seminar for breeders

The seminar can be carried out either with presence of participants or online (webinar).

The seminar must last at least 4 hours.

At least two moderators per seminar, one of whom must be a member of the WCF.

Certificates of participation possible, other certificates NOT allowed.

The WCF logo may be used.

Application up to 4 weeks before the start of the seminar: Fee 25 Euro per seminar day including publication on our website.
Appliction later than 4 weeks before the start of the seminar: Fee 35 Euro per seminar day incl. publication on our website.

3.   Seminar for exhibitors

At least two moderators per seminar, one of whom must be a member of the WCF.

Certificates of participation and steward certificates possible.

The WCF logo may be used.

Application up to 4 weeks before the start of the seminar: Fee 25 Euro per seminar day including publication on our website.
Appliction later than 4 weeks before the start of the seminar: Fee 35 Euro per seminar day incl. publication on our website.

Application up to 4 weeks before the start of the seminar: Fee 25 Euro per seminar day including publication on our website.

5.   Genetics seminar

For all interested parties, primarily for student judges and judges.
The seminar must last at least 4 hours.

At least two moderators per seminar, one of whom must be a member of the WCF.

Steward- and student judges’ certificates may be issued (only one seminar per hair category is recognized for student judges)
The WCF logo may be used.

Application up to 4 weeks before the start of the seminar: Fee 50 Euro per seminar day including publication on our website.
Appliction later than 4 weeks before the start of the seminar: Fee 60 Euro per seminar day incl. publication on our website.
